1. Yt ye owners of all & evy ye middings aswell lyinge betwixt ye Churchgate barrs & ye Almshouses as also of ye middings lyinge nere the mill hill, shall take away & remove the said severall & respective middings from off ye place or places where they now lye before the sixth of May next upon paine of every one making default therein ye some of vjs. viijd.

2. Yt ye supvisors of the highwaies wthin the said Burrowe doe cause and procure a Cawsey to bee made from ye foote of ye hill Leading to Ribleton Laine, upp to the cawsey there and all other needfull places of the cawsey in the said Laine to bee repaired and amended before ye first day of May next upon paine of vjs. viijd.

3. That ye Supervisors of the said highwaies shall aswell cause the cawsey by Salters house to be amended as also the coppe slidden into Swilbrooke Lane to bee taken away before the first of June next upon paine of vjs. viijd.

4. That John Cottam remove his middinge lyinge near unto ye School house, Chrofer Nowell his agt Graddills and Mr Robt Heskeths his lyinge near thereto before ye first of May next upon paine of evrie one neglectinge soe to doe ye Sum of vjs. viijd.

5. Willm Charnock hath not scowred his watercourse near Rible all alonge ye same downe to the said River or yt the occupied of Mr Asshetons Land lyinge near there hath not scowred theire ditches all along ye said Charnock watercourse accordinge to ye sevrall prsentmts thereof foremly made. And therefore wee prste & say yt ye said Charnock and ye occupiers of the said Lands of Mr Assheton shall scowre the said watercourse and ditches before ye first of May next upon paine of everie one making default ye Paine of vjs. viijd.

6. That ye Bailives repaire ye bridge at Broad gate Laine & stake and wind the same as also stake and wind on either side of the ditch thereto newe adoioyninge before the first of May next upon paine of vjs. viijd.

7. Yt ye aforesaid Willm Charnock, Richard Thorpe, Willm Walmesley, John Thorpe, Lawrence Cowper, Robte Shakeshafte, Mr Kinke, Mr Wall, Mr Werden, Mr Maior, Mr Willm Shawe, Henry Wilson, occupiers of Constance Morres? Lands Mr Willm Sudell & James Townend have not scowred their ditches lyinge to south meadow Laine accordinge to severall former prsentmt thereof made. And therefore wee prsent & say yt ye said Willm Charnock, Richard Thorpe and the rest of the psons last above named shall clense and scower their severall and respective ditches onto the said Lane lying and ajioyning before the said first day of May next upon paine of every one makeing default therein the sum of iijs. iiijd.

8. That Edward Taylor and Richard Thorpe have not scowered theire ditches wthin Broadgate Lane end according to the tyme and due notice unto them given and therefore pay that if they shall not scowre the same before the first day of May next that they or whosoever of them shall neglect soe to do shall bee amerced and pay the some of vjs. viijd.

9. That the supervisors of the high way cause the Cawsey on Broadgate Lane to bee amended before the first of June next upon paine of vjs. viijd. and that Henry Chorley scower his ditch on the marsh side thereof before the said first day of June next upon paine likewise of vjs. viijd.

11. Mr Henry Chorley, Mr Seath Blackhurst, Symon Hynd, Mr Evan Wall, Mr Wm Werden, Margaret Addison and Doctor Rishton remove their middings lying over agt their Barnes behind the fishergate barrs and Mr John Langton, Mr Marsh, John Hodgkinson and John Place theires on this side and within the said street called fishergate before the first of May next upon paine of every one making default vjs. viijd.

12. That the occupiers of the house late in the possession of Robert Hoult amend the hedg between the backside of the said house and garden of or late John Ryleys from a certain pale there to a ??? hall or ??? hedge standing and growing wthin the aforesaid garden before the first of May next upon pain of vjs. viijd.

13. That Ann Huson widow, John Helme junior, Thomas Exans, Thomas Tomlinson, James Helme and Thomas Cumberall remove their middings lyeing over agt their houses before may first next upon paine every one neglecting or makein default vjs. viijd.

14. That the Balives set Rayles at Davell bridge and the supervisors repair the way there, before the first of May next upon paine of either of them neglecting or making default therein vjs. viijd.

15. That the Balives shall cause the Sykes at Spittle Mosse amended and the springs leading thereon to (be) opened before the first of May next upon paine of vjs. viijd.

16. That Mr Bannister, Henry Chorley and Mr Luke Hodgkinson open their plotts end scower their ditches in Salter Lane before the first of May next upon paine of every one makeing default. vjs. viiid.

17. That the owners of all and every the middings as well lying in St Johns weend a(n)d in Todds weend agt the Church shall take away and remove theire said severall and respective middings as also all their Rubbidge there before the first of May next upon paine of every one makeing default. vjs viijd.

18. That Richard Livesey hath incroached into the street by setting of two stoopes and a payre of staires at his Smithy and is therefore to bee rented att the discretion of Mr Maior and his Councell.

19. That Mr John Langton shall before the first of May next remove his earth and worthing from the paile standing in the garden of James Whalley and shall likewise turne his watercourse forced into the Garden of the said James Whalley after his house side its accustomed course upon paine of making default the some of vjs. viijd.

20. That Edward Hindle shall remove and take away his midding wch stoppeth and anoyeth the Comon foot paths in a Certaine Close called the water willowe neare Corker hole before the first of May next upon paine of six shillings eight pence And that hee shall not lay or cause to be laid any muck or worthing there att any tyme after the said first of May to the stoping or anoiying of the said foote pathes upon paine of vjs viijd for every month that he shall suffer the same to lye there to the stoping or anoying aforesaid.

21. That William Blacow shall before the first of May next lay or cause to be laid one good and sufficient foot bridge att the Bottom of the hanging browes in Wilkinsons tenement and sett Rayles their it being a usuall foot bridge leading to the towne of Preston and hath been accustimabely maintained and repaired by the occupiers of the said Tenent upon paine of vjs. viijd.

22. That Mr William Cole scower his gutters in Lark/Sarkmills Sikes Comonly called Higham Sykes before the first of May next upon paine of vjs. viijd.

23. That forasmuch as wee are fully satisfied that Agnes Dewhurst widdow did lately erect and sett the ??? Timber on the South side of her stables by end wch the licence and Consent of Raph Shorrock and that now hee stoppeth her in bringing up of her wall accordingly. Therefore wee say that the said Raph Sharrock shall permitt and suffer how to goe upp wth her said wall according to the said Tymber erected or sett as aforesaid upon paine of vs.

24. That the Balives shall repaire the two Cawles wch is made upon the Marsh and doe desire that Mr Maior and his Councell would order two more to bee made neere to the place where the ould milne stood or where it may be thought most convenient having found by experience the great benifitt of the said Caules.

25. That Henry Chorley hath placed and sett on the land belonging to Mr Maior neere unto his ??? a staff hedge wth quick sett att the east side thereof one yard and a quarter or thereabouts distant ends within the ancient places where the hedge formerly stood tyme out mind, Therefore wee prsent and say that the said Henry Chorley shall remove and sett his staffe hedge and quick sett in their ancient and accustomed place before the first of May next upon paine of vjs. viijd.
