1. The now Balives shall repaire ye Yate at ye Corkerhole at or before ye first day of May upon paine of vjs. viijd.

2. Nicholas Cunliffe, Willm Grundy, widdow Longton, Thomas Cowpe and Robte Whittingham that they remove theire middings behind the Churchgate Barrs before ye ffifteenth day of May next upon paine of iijs. iiijd. apiece.

3. John Kellett and Chrofer Burton that they repaire theire hedges upon ye east side of Lawrence Bostocke croft before ye ffirst of Aprill next upon paine of iijs. iiijd. apiece.

4. That the supvisors shall repaire winde and stake for the prservacon of ye ffootway betwixt Evan Hodgkinsons house all along to Blacoe house at or before the xxiiijth of June next upon paine of xls.

5. Mrs Hodgkinson that she remove her midding Lying neare unto ye Almshouse at or before ye xvth of May next upon paine of iijs. iiijd.

6. Mrs Elizabeth Hodgkinson and Mr Thomas Bannister to Lopp theire hedges nere unto East moore yate at or before ye xvth of Aprill next upon paine of vjs. viijd. apiece.

7. Oliver Hatch shall remove his midding Lying neare ye Lady Hey Yate at or before ye ffirst of May next upon paine of iijs. iiijd.

8. Henry Myers shall take upp his Copp and wind and stake at his field side on this side Ribleton Lane before ye xvth of Aprill next upon paine of iijs. iiijd.

9. Mr William Lemon jun shall scoure his ditch all along his field side upon the South side of Ribleton lane that the water doe not annoy the high way neare ye end of his ffield at or before ye xvth of Aprill next upon paine of iijs. iiijd.

10. That the Supvisors shall sett stoppes in sevrall places all along the sides of ye Cawsey in Ribleton Lane to keepe Carts from going over ye same and likewise to repaire ye same Cawsey in sevrall needfull places at or before ye 24th day of June next upon paine of xls.

11. Mrs Rishton shall scoure her ditch at her field side in Ribleton Lane at or before ye xvth day of Aprill next upon paine of 3s 4d.

12. Mr George Pigot shall scoure his ditch at his ffield in Ribleton lane at or before ye ffifteenth of Aprill next upon paine of iijs. iiijd.

13. Mrs Jane Langton shall scoure her ditch eight roodes in Length at the wast upon the North side of Ribleton Lane before ye xvth of Aprill next upon paine of 3s 4d.

14. That the supvisors of ye highway shall cause hipping stones to bee laid in aplace nere unto Mr Willm Werden field side in New hall lane before ye 24th of June next upon paine of xs.

hipping stones being the local name for stepping stones.

15. The said supvisors that they repaire the way neare Graystocke house Leading towards ffishwicke and to set stoopes at ye Cawsey sides nr newhall lane for ye prservacon of ye same and likewise remove ye platt at ye end of newhall lane neare unto ye Cawsey and also take upp some Earth wch is slidden downe in Swilbrooke Leane and Lay some Gravel at ye windings of ye new fflaged Cawsey before ye 24th of June next upon paine of xxxs.

16. Mr Willm Walmsley that hee repaire the Cawsey at ye ffootway neare Swilbrooke leading to Rible Bridge at or before ye 24th of June upon paine of iijs. iiijd.

17. Edward Hindle for that hee hath plowed severall furrows from a balke at the highway side of the water willows and therefore wee Amerce him in the Sume of xxs.

18. The now Balives that they cause ye gutters to bee drawne in the Sykes that the water may have its right Current into ye Syke trough at or before the first day of May next upon paine of xs.

19. Willm Werden ye younger shall take upp ye platt being fallen into ye ditch at the Syles wch stopps ye water corse and that he shall Lay aplatt neare unto Ryding hey before ye xvth of Aprill next upon paine of 3s. 4d.

20. Ye Severall occupyers of ye Lands adioyning to ye meadow Lane that they scoure theire ditches in the meadow lane in or before ye xvth of Aprill next upon paine of iijs. iiijd. apiece.

21. The Balives that they repaire the Bridge at ye Broad gate or cause Robte Wilson the Mason according to ye Articles of Agreemt by him made to repaire the same and that the said Balives doe wind and stake ye Ditch at the nearer side of the said Bridge at or before ye 24th day of June next upon paine of xls.

22. The Supvisors to repaire and amend the highway where is wanting all along betwixt the Bridge at the Broadgate end and the end of the Cawsey neare ye windmill before the first of June next upon paine of xxxs.

23. Mr Willm Sudell that he scoure his ditch at the side of his docky acre that the water may run in its usuall corse soe that it may bee noe annoyance to ye highway at or before ye first of May next upon paine of iijs. iiijd.

24. Richard Thorpe that he scoure his ditch at the side of his field neare the Broadgate before ye first of May upon paine of iijs. iiijd.

31. The Supvisors that they shall lay gravell betwixt Welshman Browe and Alley lane end and in some places all alonge towards ye Dye house at or before ye 24th day of June next upon paine of xxs.

32. Evan Hughson and Lawrence Coop shall Lopp theire hedges on both sides the Lane betwixt Alley lane and Walshman brow before ye xvth of Aprill upon paine of iijs. iiijd.

33. That Lawrence Tomlinson and John Helme shall scoure theire ditches at the bottom of welshman Browe before ye first of Aprill next upon paine of iijs. iiijd. apiece.

34. That the now Balives shall wind and stake and Lay gravell at Davell Bridge for the prservacon of the Ramper and likewise shall repair the Caules at the River of Rible and make a new caule in some place betwixt the caule neare Davell Bridge and ye caule neare ye old Mill damme at or before the 24th of June next upon paine of iijl. vjs. viijd.

35. That the Balives repaire the Bridge upon ye Marsh called Swansey bridge and Lay it Levell where the same is troughed at or before the first day of May upon paine of xiijs. iiijd.

36. Mrs Werden and George Bennett that they lay Earth or some other materialls at the brooke at the end of the Marsh lane to keepe the water from running out of the said Brooke into the highway upon the March to ye annoyance of ye said way at or before ye ffirst day of May upon paine of xs.

37. That the sevrall psons hereafter named shall Lopp theire hedges hanging over ye water lane or ye land leading to ye Marsh before ye 15th of Aprill next upon paine of xiijs. iiijd. apiece.

38. That the now Balives shall drawe the gripps at ye head end of ye Syke Troughs upon Spittle Mosse and to pave 6 yeards more to ye Cawsey and likewise to pave a breach in the pinfould before ye first of May next upon paine of xiijs. iiijd.

39. Mr Robte Loxam shall remove his rubbage & dung wch lyeth before his barne dore before ye ffirst of May upon paine of iijs. iiijd.

40. Henry Myers hath laid rubbage in ye Sandy lane to ye Annoyance of ye highway and prjudiciall for Carts if they doe meet any where there abouts therefore wee order that hee shall remove ye same Rubbage that it bee no annoyance there nor to other highwayes before ye first day of May upon paine of vjs. viijd.

41. That the now Balives shall repaire the North moore yate and shall gett windings to ye piles all along nere unto ye ffoot bridge and fill ____ same wth Gravell for the prservacon of the ffoot way there before the first of May next upon paine of xxs.

42. The Balives to hange ye east Moore yate before ye first of May next upon paine of xs.

43. Mr Thomas Jepson shall scoure his ditch in Salter lane at or before ye first day of May upon paine of 3s 4d.

44. Mr Luke Hodgkinson shall scoure his ditch in the Salter lane belonging to ye viccaridge Croft before ye first day of May next upon paine of iijs. iiijd.

45. By the Informacon of sevrall old men that there is a Comon ffoot path and highway Leading to this townes Markett through a little close or pcell of Land called the Titmouse croft lying betwixt a certaine close of ground called the Tenter hey and another close called the greene crofte wth said highway or ffoot path is stopped wth a strong hedge made by ye said Nicholas Watson to ye great prjudice of the Inhitants of this towne and people that usually come to ye Markett by reason of ye lane being not passable for people on ffoot in ye winter season therefore wee order that the said Nicholas Watson shall set stiles at the said Croft as heretofore that there may bee a ffree passage through the said close before ye xvth day of Aprill next upon paine of iijl. vjs. viijd.

46. That Mr Thomas Patten shall erect and build the house at the Moore side (sometime heretofore in the possion of Willm Bayley decd) it being falne downe and that the same building bee pfectly finished before the ffirst day of September next upon paine of 5l.

47. The Occupyers of George Hodgkinsons estate, Roger Charnocke, Henry Sherborne ye occupyers of Mr Luke Hodgkinson estate and the rest of the Inhitants that they Repaire the Cawsey over the Peele moore before the xxiiijth of June next upon paine of 13s. 4d.

48. Henry Myers, Mathew Porter and Jennett Blacowe to scoure theire Ditches at theire garden ends before ye xvth of Aprill next upon paine of iijs. iiijd. apiece.
