John Shepard for removeing the Land Marks betwixt him and Grace Walmsley wid both in ye ffould & backside of his barne and hath incroached there by makeing ahedg & seting quicksetts, for ye wch offence wee Amerce him in ye sume of xls. 26. The supvisors that they shall repaire the Brow at the further end of Spittle Mosse downe towards ye watery lane at or before ye 24th of June upon paine of xs.

27. The now Baliffes that they shall draw a gutter for ye water to runn into ye Sykes upon Spittle mosse and shall open the springs there above at or before ye first day of May next upon paine of xiijs. iiijd.

28. That the supvisors shall repaire the Causey betwixt Mrs Werdens Milne field yate towards ye pinfould at or before ye xxiiijth day of June upon paine of vjs. viijd.

29. Ye occupyers of George Hodgkinsons estate, Roger Charnocke, Henry Sherbourne ye occupyers of Mr Luke Hodgkinsons estate and the rest of ye Inhitants that they repaire the Causey and ye ffootbridge upon Peele moore at or before ye xxiiijth day of June next upon paine of xiijs. iiijd.

30. Mr Willm Shaw that hee shall repaire his barne standing by ye mooreside being upon ye Townes Land at or before ye xxiiijth day of June next upon paine of xxs.

31. By ye xlvith prsentmt of ye last Inquest and upon prusall of sevrall prsentmts of fformer Inquests, Thomas Patton gen was prsented to erect and build the house at ye moore side sometime heretofore in ye possion of one Willm Baley den? it being falne downe and hath thereby fforfeited severall sumes of money as by ye sd prsentmts and ye affearing thereof more plain by way appeare. Now wee find and prsent that ye sd Mr Thomas Patton shall well and sufficiently erect & build ye sd house at or before ye first day of August next or otherwise wee doe amerce him in ye further sume of xl.

32. Henry Myers for cutting through the highway leading from ye East moore yate towards Mr Bannestrs Barne it being agreat annoyance to ye usuall highway there and very prjudiciall to the people that use to goe or ride that way, wee therefore ordr yt ye sd Henry Myers shall rectify & make good & amend ye same way as hath beene heretofore at or before ye ffirst of May next upon paine of xxs.

33. By ye xxvth prsentmt of ye last Leet ye sd Henry Myers, John Baley and John Harrison were prsented for not filling upp ye pitts upon the moore where they have usually gotten bricke on ye moore to ye great Hazard of peoples Lives at passe that way and have thereby forfeited ye sum of xls. apiece for not doeing ye same according to ye time given them, wee therefore further order yr ye said ptyes shall fill up ye same pitts before ye first day of May next upon ye further paine of xls apiece.

34. Willm Charnocke for getting Clay upon Spittle mosse browe therefore wee amerce him to pay vjs. viijd.

35. Whereas there now is, and from ye time whereof ye memory of man is not to ye Contrary hath beene, a Comon and usuall ffootway in and through a certaine Lane or weend called Chetham Weend, from a certaine streete in Preston called Churchgate unto ye Sykes, and so to Avenham and ye waterside, at ye entrance into wch said weend from ye sd street there hath Constantly every time of ffaires, vizt., upon ye ffaire day wthin Preston aforesd, beene placed a pson to take and receive Toll from such psons as did at such times use and goe through ye sd way, Now wee find and prsent Mary Sudell, of Preston aforesd, widdow, for that shee the xxvijth day of March, in ye xxvith yeare of ye Raigne of our Soveraigne Lord King Charles ye second yt now is, did stopp ye sd way, by nailing and staking upp a dore at ye bottom of ye said Weend, and wch opens to ye said sykes, to ye Comon nuzance and prjudice of ye subjects of our soveraigne Lord ye King, and therefore wee doe amerce her in ye sume of xls., And if shee ye said Mary Sudell doe not open or cause ye sd way to bee opened as formerly in the usuall place upon or before the xth day of Aprill next, then wee doe amerce her more in ye further sume of xxs. a month.

36. These psons hereafter named that they remove theire middings out of St Johns weend and ye weend or lane leading towards ye end of ye ffryergate at or before ye ffirst day of May upon paine of iijs. iiijd. apiece.
