1. These psons following for not Appearing at this Cort Leet att Preston ye 8th Aprill 1686 to pay 3s. 4d. apeice.

John Yates, Edward Charnely, John Birchell, John Parker gent, Randle Sherlicar, Thomas Addison, John Law gent, Thomas Watson, Chrs Woodborne, Hner: Sallom gent, James Garstange. John Merry, James Seed, James Wilkinson.

These 14 psons to pay for their default six pence a peece.

2. Henry Barnes & Willm Baley pinders for Suffering Severall fflockes of Geese to depasture upon ye Marsh & Spittle Mosse & doth not make diligent Search According to theire office but neglects the Same therefore wee Amerce them paye 3s. 4d. a peece.

3. James Sallom yt hee remove his house of office in St Johns Weede? & not to Suffer the excrement to pass? into the Same Weend to ye greater Annoyance of people that passeth by & that the Same maye be rectified before ye 10th of Sept next upon paine of payeing 20s.

4. The Supvisors fo the high wayes, yt they repaire ye fryer Laine at or before ye 10th of Sept next upon paine of 20s.

Margin comment "Not to be done at ye Townes charge for yt we are informed it is realy a private way."

5. Mr Nicholas Walmsley yt he shall Scower his ditch Along his feild in the fryer Laine before the 10th of Sept next or to paye 6s. 8d.

6. Tho: Patten Esqre for yt he hath not accordinge to ye 16th prsentmt of the Last Inquest repaired the Sough leading from the Milne on the Marsh & yt he hath forfeited for that neglect the same of 5l. Wee do therefore order ye said Tho: Patten shall repaire the Said Sough at or before the 29th day of Sept next or to pay the further sume of 5l.

7. That ye Affearers have not Affeared the prsentmts of ye last Leet & ye Inquest of Office & doe desire Mr Maior to cause the same Imediately to be affeared soe that the fynes may be Levied according to the affearing thereof.

8. The Supervisors of the high wayes yt the[y] repaire the Causey behind the Churchgate barrs leading to the Almshouses before the 10th of Sept next upon paine of 40s.

9. The severall psons hereafter named as fforrainers & Inmates following trades wthin this Corporacon not being free men of the Same to the greate prjudice to the freemen of this Incorporacon & do therefore have it to the consideracon of the Maior & Councell.

10. John Wood that he scower his ditch in the Salter Laine Adjoyning to the vickeridge ??? before the 10th of Sept next upon paine of 6s. 8d.

11. Mr Joseph King & Mr John Radcliffe prsent Bayliffes that they have not repaired & cleansed the Severall Wells wthin the Severall St[r]eets of this towne according to severall ordrs thereof made & as other Bayliffes have done formerley and that the same wells are at want of repaireing & Cleansing wch if the said Bayliffes doe not repaire & cleanse them before the 10th day of Septembr next wee Amerce them to pay the sume of 3l. 6s. 8d.

12. The Bayliffes yt they cause the Streets in Severall places & breaches wch are broken out. To be paved before the 15th day of Septembr next upon paine of 3l. 6s. 8d.

13. Willm Udell that he paire his Copp at Side of his Orchard & not to Suffer the Same to fall & slide downe upon the Causey to the Anoyance of the high way at or before the 10th day of Sept next upon paine of 6s. 8d.

14. Martin Mabury for casting dead Swine into the backe Weend in Severall places thereof to the great Newsanze of the Inhabitants wthin this towne & Strangers that passeth by for wch wee Amerce him to pay the Sume of Sixe Shillings eight pence for non paymt to be punisht at the discrestion of Mr Maior.
