Presentments : —

1. The persons followeing for letting their Middings lye before their doores att Church gate Townend And doe Order them to remove the same before the Twenty first of May next or ffine them in Six shillings and eight pence a peece vizt.

2. The persons followeing for letting their midding lye in Ribleton Lane to the Annoyance of the Kings Publick Highway, And doe order them to bee likewise removed before the Twenty first of May next or fyne them in six shillings and eight pence a peece vizt.

4. These sevrall psons followeing for not scoureing their ditches and lopping their hedges in the Lane betwixt Ribleton Lane and New hall lane (called Deager gate lane) And if not done before the twenty first day of May next doe ffine them in Six shillings and Eight pence a peece. vizt.

5. Wm Houghton and John Clayton for watering their horses att the well att Churchgate Townend where neighbours fetch their water And doe fyne them in six shillings and eight pence a peece.

6. The psons for not scouring their ditches, cutting their hedges and letting middings lye in ffishwick lane and if not removed before the Twenty first of May next doe fine them in six shillings and eight pence a peece. vizt.

8. Chrofer Jackson and Richard Jackson for not repaireing the ffoot way leading to Swillbrooke and doe order them to repaire on or before the ffirst day of May next or fine them in the summe of Tenn shillings apeece.

9. The Supervisors of the highway for not Repaireing the high way att Church street Town end and the Rampers and stoopes there, and the highway in Ribleton Lane, the highway in New hall Lane and the ramper in the horse way to Rible bridge and doe Order them to repaire it on or before the Twenty fourth day of June next or fine them in the Sume of Thirty nine shillings.

10. These psons followeing for letting their Middings lye at the fryergate Townend and doe order them to remove the same on or before the Twenty first day of May next or fine them in Six shillings and eight pence a peece vizt.

11. Evan Huson for not scouring his ditch over agt the dye house in ffryer land and James Roades for his midding lying in the said lane and doe order that they doe scoure the said ditch & remove the said Midding before the first day of May next or doe fine them in the Sume of Tenn shillings a peece.

12. The Bayliffes for not amending Davil bridge and doe order them that they Repaire it and lop the Ramper or Cawsey on or before the Twenty fourth day of June next or doe fine them in the Sume of thirty shillings.

13. Wm Walmsley for not Repaireing the foot bridge over Greystocke brooke neare his house and doe order him to Repaire it on Or before the Twenty first day of May next or else doe fine him in the Sume of Tenn shillings.

14. The Supervisors of the highway for not repaireing the highway betwixt the Moore Brow and more yate and doe order them to repaire the same on or before the Twenty fourth day of June next or fine them in the sume of Tenn shillings.

15. The psons followeing for not scouring their ditches, opening their watercourses, laying their platts & removeing their middings in Salter lane and doe order that the said ditches be scoured, their watercourses opened and plat laid and the middings removed on or before the Twenty first day of May next or doe fine them in the Sume of Six shillings and Eight pence a peece. vizt.

These psons followeing for their sevall Incroachmts by their ffences and ditches lyeing in the way to the Syke trough lyeing att the botham of their gardens & Orchards whereby the way is very much impaired and doe fine them in the Summes of Twenty shillings a peece if not done on or before the said Twenty Third day of May next. vizt.

22. John Miller and Richard Crosse for not scoureing the watercourse and keeping up the copps in the brooks running into the Marsh Mill dame which spoyles the highway going up to Tulketh and doe fine them in thirteen shillings and four pence apeece if not done before the Twenty third of May next.

23. The wife of Wm. Blackledge for carrying fire in a paire of Tong[u]es in open street in danger of fireing the Towne and doe fine her in Thirteene shillings and four pence.

24. The Pinders of this Town for letting beasts and horses & geese goe upon the march and Spitle mosse in the day and night time contrary to the orders and customes of this Corporacon and before the time they ought to goe otherween? and doe amerce them in five shillings.

25. The psons followeing for want of Raile att their Seller Staires and if not railed betwixt and the Twenty first of May next doe fine them in Six shillings and eight pence a peece. vizt.

27. Edward Walker for Incroaching upon the Towns Land by setting a staffe hedge betwixt Whittakers and the Towns Land in possion of Thomas Lever and Peter Harrison and if not removed betwixt and the first of June next doe fine him in Twenty shillings.

28. The Bayliffes of this Town for not repaireing the Rampire in Corker hole & likewise Nicholas Pasley for letting his wood lye in the same lane and if not amended betwixt and the Twenty first of May next doe fine them in Six shillings and eight pence apeece.

29. Mrs Hodgkinson for a midding on the back of Adam Coopers and if not removed betwixt and the Twenty first of May next doe fine her in Six shillings and eight pence a peece.

30. Adam Cooper for not scoureing his ditch over against Berry ffeild and if not done betwixt and the Twenty ffirst of May next doe fine him in Six shillings and eight pence.

31. Mr Lodge for letting his midding lye over against Titmouse barne and if not removed before the Twenty first of May next to pay Six shillings and eight pence.

32. The Bayliffes for not repaireing the way leading from the Syke hill up to the Town and the Syke troughs likewise wch if not done on or before the Twenty third of May next doe fine them in Six shillings and eight pence a peece.

33. These psons followeing for not scoureing their ditches att the bottom of their Gardens lyeing to the Sykes and doe fine them in Six shillings and eight pence a peece if not done before the Twenty third of May next. vizt.
