Presentments : —

1. The Bayliffs of this Corporacon for not repairing the Gibbet and Fryergate Barrs, the Sykes at Spittle Moss, the Post near Churchgate pump, and the Turn Stile leading to Avenham Syke, which We find to be severally out of repair, and Order the same to be sufficiently done on or before Lady day next, or we Amerce the said Bayliffes in five pounds.

2. Mathew Sharples for laying his Middings on the Comon prjudicial to the Brickmakers and if not removed before the first of March next do Amerce him in xxs.

3. James Keighley for laying Wood & tymber in the back Weend to the Annoyance of the Street and highway & for continueing the same there and if not removed before the sixth of January do Amerce him in vs.

4. Mr William Walls for not railing or Covering his Cellar Stairs in the Market place to the great peril and danger of his Majties Liege people passing and repassing that Way and if not done before the first of February next We amerce him in xvs.

5. Thomas Watson, Thomas Sill & Mr James Derbyshire for not railing or Covering the Cellar Stairs at their Several houses Adjoining to the Street but suffering the same to lye open to the great peril and danger of his Majties Liege people and if not done before the first of January next We Amerce 'em in five shillings Each. Mr Derbyshire's Cellar is in ye Weend.

6. Mr John Nock for suffering two Cellars in his possion to lye open and Uncovered to the great peril and danger of his Majties Liege people and do Order him to rail or Cover the Same before the first of January or We Amerce him in xs.

7. Thomas Molyneux Esq., for not railing or Covering the Draw Well in ye Square, which lyes open to the great peril and danger of his Majties Liege people, and if not done on or before the first of January next do Amerce him in five pounds.

8. Mr John Calvert a Resiant & Inhabitant of this Burrough for that he being Warned to serve on this prsent Inquest did peremptorily refuse to do his Suit and Service at this Court and did depart in despite of the Court & do Amerce him in xs.

9. Abraham Roydes for neglecting to cut his hedge in the narrow foot passage leading to the house of Correcon and do Ordr him to lop and cut the same before the first of January or we Amerce him in ijs. vjd.

10. Richard Brewer, Tho: Richardson & Richard Poole for setting their Carts in ye Open Street to ye annoyance thereof & danger of his Majties Liege people and do Amerce 'em in xs, severally.

11. Mrs Dorothy Graddwell Widw and Richard Loxham for laying or causing Rubbish to be laid in the open Street in Fryergate to the great Annoyance thereof and a Comon Nusance and if not removed before the sixth of January next do amerce 'em in xs. Each. The next presentment doesn't actually say what the presentment is. Presumably, because of the numbers, it is for "Suit & Service".
