Presentment : — 1. The several psons hereafter named for keeping Mastiffe Dogs within the Town of Preston and for severally suffering them to go abt the Streets Unmuzzled to the great peril and danger of his Majties Liege people and do Amerce 'em in five shillings Each. vizt.

Thomas Penington, Edwd Wyke, Tho: Leach gardiner, Richd Bray gardiner, John Dickson taylor, Lawrence Salter, John Parr junr, Mr Wm Shackleton, Wm Southworth, Hen: Broughton, Richd Moss, Tho: Dolphin, Tho: Clitherall, John Watson, Richd Sudell, Richd Simpson Dyer, John Rideing, Hen: Walshman, John Cook senr, Mr Richd Ashton, Joseph Barnes, James Moore, Nic: Kellet, Wm Rider.

2. Thomas Sill for obstructing a Sink or Watercourse by Laying a Midding in his backside so that the Sink water by reason of such Obstruccon drenches thro' Mr Rawsthornes Wall into the said Mr Rawsthornes garden and if not forthwith removed We amerce him in twenty shillings.

3. The Bayliffes of this Corporacon to Level and repair a hollow place in the Causeway in the Market place over agt John Myers the Barbers Shop and do also ordr them to put the several Pumps into repair forthwith so that the Inhabitants of the Town be duly supplyed with water or in default thereof do Amerce 'em in five pounds ten shillings.

4. Thomas Toulman for not putting a Rail to the Cellar Stairs before the house now in his possion which lye open to the peril and danger of his Majties Liege people and if not forthwith done do amerce him in ten shillings.

5. William Lorrimer, Thomas Vikers and John Moss for not appearing to serve on this prsent Inquest tho' duly returned & Sumoned for that purpose & do amerce 'em in ten shillings six pence Each for that default.

6. John Parr and John Derbyshire, the present Serjeants of the Burrough, for neglect of duty in not Levying the Estreats of former Leets Court, tho' the sd Estreats were duly issued and delivered to them for that purpose, and Do Amerce 'em in one pound one shilling Each.

7. Robert Walshman and Joseph Bray for not lopping or cutting the garden hedge & the trees therein growing at the bottom of Fryergate Which is an Annoyance & prjudice to the highway there and if not done We amerce 'em in xxs. severally.

8. Madam Sudell for setting or causing a Trough to be set in the Minspit Weend Whereby the Course of the Channell there is turned & diverted & if not forthwith removed do amerce her in five shillings.

9. Anne Pearson for turning and diverting a Sink or Watercourse in her backside by laying a Midding or Dunghill Whereby the said Sink becomes very Nauseous & Offensive to the Neighbours & if not forthwith removed do amerce her in xxs.

10. Richd Sympson Cooper for neglecting to cleanse & Scour the ditch adjoining to his Croft whereby the highway is annoyed & prjuduced and if not forthwith done do amerce him in xs.

11. The several persons hereafter named to wit Mr Henry Fisher, Charles Holcroft, Joseph Gornall, Geo: Osbaldeston and Thomas Hatch for severally laying Middings in the highway & continueing the same there to the annoyance thereof & if not forthwith removed do Amerce 'em in xs. each.

12. William Shackleton, Jonathan Casson, James Drinkwater, James Derbyshire, Robert Leadbetter, Samuel Whalley, Thomas Astley & William Southworth for severally setting their Hogsheads & Casks in the Street to the great Annoyance thereof & a Comon Nusance and if not forthwith removed do amerce 'em in five shillings Each.
