The Bayliffes of this Corporacon for neglecting to Repair the pumps within the Streets of this Town and also for neglecting to repair the Shooting Butts on Spittle Moss and for not opening and cleansing the Sykes there. All which they ought to do by the duty of their Office And if not done within ten days after notice We amerce them in five pounds.

David Fisher, Duncan Wright, Rober Gurnall, William Keighley, Mr James Derbyshire, Mr Charles Atherton, David Brown and Thomas Richardson for neglecting to rail or Cover the Cellar Stairs in their respective possessions Adjoining the Streets of this Town but suffer the same to lye open and Uncovered to the great peril and danger of his Majties Liege people passing and repassing thro' the said Streets And Comon Nusances And if not sufficiently ffenced, railed or Covered in ten days time We Amerce them in five shillings Each makeing default.

The Surveyors of the Highways to open and Scour the Watercourse Near the Almshouse in ffishergate Lane within the Libertiesof this Burrough by the Stoppage and Obstruccon whereof the highway there is very much Annoyed and prejudiced and if not done in ten days after notice we Amerce the said Supervisors in xxs. for neglect of their duty therein.

Mr John Cumbrall of Preston for laying and Raising a pavement or Cawsway so high before his houses below ffryergate Barrs in the highway there that the same is an Annoyance to the said highway and also to several Inhabitants in the Neighbourhood and if not altered in twenty days we Amerce him in forty shillings.

Thomas Morris, Seth Haddock, James Etherington, Abraham Lindworth and Anne Seed for neglecting to Open and Scour the Watercourse Adjoining to their respective houses or Gardens near the Doghouse in Preston and that for want of such Opening the said Watercourse Stagnates and is Obstructed and thereby Annoys and prejudices the Way and passage leading up to Salter Lane and in not done in twnety days wa Amerce them in xs. Each.

John Colly for not drawing and opening the Sluice or Watercourse thro' his garden as usual to draw the Water from the higher End of the back Weend in Preston by the neglect Whereof and for want of such passage the said Watercourse is obstructed and Overflows, Annoys and prejudices the said Street or Weend and if not done in twenty days We Amerce him in xxs.

George Singleton, Thomas Walmesley, Anne Haslingden, Easter Townend, Benjamin Colly, Edmd Parker, James Etherington, Ann Fairclough, James Jameson, Margaret Bostock Widdw, Richd Livesay, Thomas Bailey and Robert Sherrington for severally using and Exercising the Comon Selling of Ale and Beer in their respective houses in Preston aforesd without being thereunto Lawfully admitted or Licenced and Amerce them in twenty shillings Each.

Richard Wilding, Robert Sherrington and Benjamin Colly who severally use the Comon Selling of Ale for keeping Lewd, idle and disorderly houses and suffering Evil Rule therein And do Amerce them in forty shillings Each.

John Fell Glover and Elizabeth Beesley for harbouring, Inhabiting and Encourageing in their houses Comon vagrants and other loose, vilde and disorderly persons And do Amerce them in forty shillings Each.

Robert Abbatt for neglecting to repair the breaches in the pavements in several parts of the Town Occasioned by laying the Waterpipes and if not done in ten days We Amerce him in forty shillings.

That the Watercourse near the Almshouse in this Town Adjoining to the Stile leading out of the Street and highway into a Close of ground called the Whittakers is Stopt and Obstructed And it appears to us that the said Watercourse Ought to run down the ditch at the End of the several Gardens Leading to a place called the Clark Yard and by such stoppage and Obstruccon the Street and highway near the said Almshouse is Annoyed, overflowed & prejudiced And we do Order the several Occupiers of the said Gardens to Open and Scour such parts of the said ditch as Adjoins to their said respective Gardens within the space of thirty days after notice hereof or we Amerce them in twenty shillings Each makeing default.

The several psons hereafter named who are inhabitants and Resiants of and within this Burrough and Owe Suit and Service to this Court but neglect to appear thereat having had notice and Sumons to attend and not leave from Mr Recorder to Excuse their absence nor Essoined by the Court And Amerce them in six shillings Eight pence Each for such default.
