The Bayliffes of this Burrough for neglect of duty in not repairing the Street and highway in Churchgate within the Liberties of this Town and if not done in a Month after notice We Amerce them in two pounds two shillings.

Richard Hodgkinson for Laying Clay and other Rubbish in the Church Gate within the Liberties of this Town to the great annoyance of the Street and highway there and if not taken away in a week after notice We amerce him in Six Shillings and Eight Pence.

Mr _____ Pollard for laying a Piece of Wood in the Street near the Church yard within the Liberties of this Town to the great annoyance of the Street and highway there & of not taken away in a week after notice we amerce him in five shillings.

Esther Hoole for laying a Midding in the Street neat Churchgate Bars within the Liberties of this Town whereby the Street and highway there is very much annoyed & if not taken away in ten days after Notice We amerce her in Six shillings and Eight Pence.

Madam Mary Molyneux for not fixing rails to two Cellars, one in the Fryergate and the other in the backweend both within the Liberties of this Town which lye open and uncovered to the great danger of his Majesties Liege people passing & repassing and if not done in a week we amerce her in forty shillings.

Richard Simpson, George Holyday & Robert Grundy for severally laying wood & rubbish in the Street in Fryergate within the Liberties of this Town whereby the Street and highway are very much Annoyed and if not taken away in a week after notice We amerce them Severally ten Shillings.

George Osbaldeston for Laying two Middings in the house of Correction Lane within the Liberties of this Town whereby the highway there is very much annoyed and if not taken away in a week after notice We amerce him in Six Shillings & Eight pence.

William Graystock for laying a Midding in the highway below fryergate Bars within the Liberties of this Town whereby the said highway is annoyed & if not taken away in a week after Notice We amerce him in ten shillings.

John Arkwright for laying Clay and the other Rubbish in the Street belwo fryergate Bars within the Liberties of this Town whereby the Street & highway there is annoyed and if not taken away in a Week after Notice We amerce him in three shillings & four pence.

James Holcroft for annoying the highway below fryergate Bars within the Liberties of this Town by laying a Midding & Setting Carts in the said highway. If not taken away in a week after Notice We amerce him in twenty shillings.

Thomas Walton for Laying a Midding in the highway below the Fryergate Bars which is a Great annoyance to the said Highway & if not taken away in a week after notice we amerce him in Six shillings & eight pence.

The Several Occupiers of the Gardens and lands on Each side the narrow Lane Leading from Fryergate Bars to the Lady Well within the Liberties of this Town for not Cutting their Hedges but Suffering the same to grow into and over the sd Lane whereby the way there is very much obstructed & annoyed & if not done in a week after Notice We amerce them in five shillings severally.

William Whalley and others the Occupiers of the Gardens and Lands on Each side the back Lane near the fryergate Bars for not Cutting their hedges which grow into and over & very much annoy the highway there and also for not opening & repairing their Ditches which are fallen down & very much annoy and incroach upon the highway there and if not done in ten days after Notice We amerce them in ten shillings severally.

James Harrison, Esther Townend, William Tipping, William Rawstorne Esq., Roger Scarisbrick, Richard Waring, Arthur Sheppard, John Pickering, William Riley, James Moor, Robert Ingham, Thomas Burton, Henry Collyard and Robert Halls for severally laying Middings and other rubbish in the back Lane and Backweend within the Liberties of the Town Whereby the Street & highway is very much annoyed and if not taken away in a week after notice we amerce them in ten shillings severally.

The Bayliffs of this Town for neglecting their Duty in not repairing the Pump in Saint John's Weend within the Liberties of this Town for want whereof the Inhabitants of this Burrough cannot be Supplyed with water as they ought to be and if not done in a week after Notice we amerce them in forty shillings.

William Tipping for laying Sand and other rubbish in the backlane within ye Libties of this Town and therewith Stopping & obstructing several watercourses & turning several others from their usual Course whereby the highway there is very much overflowed & so Deep, foul & Dirty that his Majesties Liege people cannot safely pass & repass that Way which is a Common Nusance & a very Great annoyance to the highway there and if not taken away or the way there well & sufficiently repaired in a month after notice We amerce him in five pounds.

The Bayliffs of the Corporation for not repairing the Mins pit weend & the way leading from the bottom of the sd weend to Mr Walshman's now which are very dirty & in great Decay for want of repair & amendment and if the same be not well and sufficiently repaired & amended in a month after Notice we amerce them in forty Shillings.

The Several Occupiers of the Lands & Gardens on Each side the Lane from the higher End of Cockerhole to Mr Peploes for not opening & Scouring their Ditches for want whereof the several watercourses there are Stopped and Obstructed & the highway thereby very much annoyed and if not done in a week after notice We amerce them in ten Shillings severally.

Robert Helme for not opening & Scouring his Ditch belonging to the field near Mr Peploes in his possession to the great annoyance of the highway there & if not done in a week after Notice We amerce him in ten shillings.

The Supervisors of the highway for not repairing the Way on the South side of the Bridge at the bottom of ffishergate Lane which is in Great Decay for want of repair & amendmt and if not done in a month after Notice We amerce them in twenty Shillings a piece.

Mr Richard King for not opening & Scouring his Ditch near the sd way to the annoyance thereof & if not Done in a week after Notice We amerce him in thirteen shillings and four pence.

Mr Stanley Werden the Owner & Samuel Fogg the Occupier of a Close Called the Crooked acre for not Scowring & amending the Ditch on the South side of the sd Close but suffering the same to fall down & incroach upon & annoy the high way there and if not done in a week after notice We amerce them in ten shillings a piece.

The Supervisors of the highway for not repairing the way near the Springhead and the Ditch & flatt at the bottom of the new way which are very much in Decay and in great want of repair & if not done in a week after notice we amerce them in ten shillings a piece.

Edward Sharrock for laying Dung & Rubbish in the ffishergate Lane & therewith very much annoying the highway there & if not taken away in a week after Notice We amerce him in ten shillings.

John Cook and Lancellot Butler for not opening & Scouring their Ditches Lying to the highway in Fishergate Lane for want of such opening & scouring, the watercourses are stopped & obstructed and the highway there very much annoyed and if not done in a week after notice we amerce them in ten shillings severally.

The sd Lancellot Butler for Laying Wood in the sd Lane & annoying the highway therewith & if not taken a way in a wood after notice We amerce him in ten shillings.

Robert Abbatt for not opening the Plat & Scouring the Ditch adjoining to the Mill field in his possession but suffering the watercourse there to be Stopped to the great annoyance of the highway there & if not Done in a week after notice We amerce him in ten shillings.

The Supervisors of the highway for not repairing the Causway in ffishergate Lane from the Pear tree field to Mr Ashtons which is broken in several places & in very Great Decay for want of repair & if not Done in a month after Notice We amerce them in forty shillings.

John Winckley Esq., for not opening & Scouring his Ditch at the head of his field near the Almshouse in fishergate & for not Topping or Lopping his Trees there for want whereof the highway there is very much annoyed & if not Done in a week after notice We amerce him forty shillings.

Mr Richd Ashton, Thomas Alsop, David Brown, Isaac Cook, Wm Lorrimer, Lawrence Pemberton, Wm Alford, Hannah Johnson, Joseph PLstt, Thomas Alford & John Richardson for severally Laying Ashes & Dunghills in the Street in Fishergate within the Liberties of this Town to the great annoyance of the highway there & if not taken away in a week after notice we amerce Each of 'em making Default in five Shillings.

The Occupiers of Land on Each Side of Sherburne Lane for not opening & Scouring their Ditches for want whereof the way there is very much annoyed & if not done in a week after notice we amerce them in ten shillings severally.

John Colly for not opening & Scouring the Watercourse in his Garden in the back Weend for want whereof the Water falling from the feeble street is stopped at the head of the sd Garden which is a great Nusance & annoyance to the way there and to all his Majesties Leige People passing & repassing that way & if not sufficiently done in a week after notice we amerce him in forty shillings.

Ralph Commander & Ellen Morris Widow for not Scouring & opening the Watercourse from the Plat in feeble to the head of the sd Garden if not done in a fortnight after Notice We amerce them in twenty shillings severally.

Robert Duckworth for altering an ancient watercourse on the North side of Fryergate and Turning the same to the great annoyance of George Graystock & if not put in the ancient Course in a week after notice we amerce him in twenty shillings.
