The Surveyors of the Highways in Preston for Neglect of duty in Not repairing the Stone Bridge or Platt as also the Rampart leading from the End of the said Bridge Near the Moor Yate and in the Kings highway there both which We find to be much out of Repair and if not done in twenty One days After Notice We Amerce them in three pounds.

The same Supervisors for not repairing the Bridge or Platt commonly called Davil Bridge and if not done in three Weeks after Notice We Amerce then in fforty Shillings.

The Bayliffes of this Burrough for not Calling and Securing the Marsh by the Neglect whereof the said Marsh grounds belonging to the Mayor, Bayliffs and Burgesses of this Burrough are Wasted & Washed away and if not done in twenty one days After Notice We Amerce them in One hundred pounds.

Lancellot Butler, Mr Thomas Woodcock, Mrs Elizabeth Casson, Cuthbert Wade Esq., Mr Nicholas Walmsley, Mr Charles Gibson, Rigby Molyneux Esq., John Winckley Esq., Thomas Jolley, Mr James Chorley, Roger Hesketh Esq., Mr Wiliam Prichard, Robert Abbatt and John Cheetham for severally neglecting to Open and Scour the Ditch and Watercourse Adjoining to the South End of the Orchards and Gardens in their respective possions by the neglect Whereof the Comon ffoot leading from the Waterwork through the Closes Called the Sykes is Annoyed and Obstructed And if not done in twenty one days after Notice We Amerce them in two Shillings Six pence Each.
