Edward Dewhurst, Christopher Collinson, William Gornall, Thomas Whittle, William Hodgkinson, Richard Gregson, Henry Brewer, William Pennington, James Meadow, George Woods, John Scott, William Hopkins, Towers? Mason and George Slater each for laying and Placing Divers Heaps or Quantities of Dung, Ashes, Manure or Compost opposite to the Houses or Premises occupied by their respectively, And if the same is not removed within 2 Days after Notice hereof We amerce each the Party or Parties so neglecting in the Sum of 20s. each.

Lancelot Parker, Thomas Fisher, George Slater, Henry Law, James Holme, Henry Thompson, Joseph Cragg, Robert Dewhurst, William Grnall, Ann Cross Widow, John Shakeshaft, William Cottam, George Sams?, Edward Dewhurst, George Jenkinson, Mr James Meadow, John Nailor, George Woods, William Salisbury, James Fencoats, William Bradley, Thomas Cook, William Pennington, Artexeixes Cocking, Philip Adams, Mary Etherington, John Caster, Thomas Thompson, John Smith, John Loxham, James Baines, Edward Cook, John Pye, Ann Wood, John ???, Thomas ???, Richard Gregson, Willim Hodgkinson, Thomas Woodruff, JAmes Greenhalgh, John Scott, John Hogget, Ann Bramwell, Thomas Eastham and Thomas Richmond for not repairing their respective Shares of the Streets or Highways opposite their respective Houses, Barns, Stables and Shippons in a certain Street within the said Borough called the Tyth Barn of Moor Street beginning at a certain Sough or Channel in or near the House inhabited by Lancelot Parker and ending near the House of Mr James Meadow And also from the House of William Bradley through the Street or Road beyond the Tyth Barn Street And if the same is not well and Sufficiently repaired on or before the 24th Day of June now next We amerce them severally in the Sum of 20s. each.

Lancelot Parker, Henry Brewer, Emett _____ and Francis Chadwick for not well and Sufficiently repairing the Road or Foot Path at the Back of Wood Street in the said Borough, And if the same is not well and Sufficiently repaired on or before the 25th Day of March next We amerce each of them severally in the Sum of 20s.

William Roper, Jane Geawiess?, Robert Salts, Michael Salts, Margaret Jackson, Christopher Barton, Margaret otherwise Peggy Chew, Nathan Batens, Ellen otherwise Nelly Penington, Mary Hesketh, Roger Law, John Lees, Thomas Salhole?, John Clitheroe and William ??? each of or laying and Placing Divers Quantities of Dung, Muck, Ashes, Compost, Manure upon a certain Midding Stead or place at the Top of Wood Street And if the same is not removed or well and Sufficiently walled out on or before the 2nd Day of February next We amerce each of them severally in the Sum of 20s.

5. William Shepherd and John Scott for leaving their respective Carts, Waggons or Carriages in a certain Street within the said Borough called the Back Wient or Lane And if not removed within One Hour after Notice We amerce them severally in the Sum of £2. 2s. 0d. each.

6. John Livesey, John Hogget and Elizabeth Woods for laying and Placeing each a Midding opposite their respective Premises And if not removed within 2 Days after notice hereof We amerce them severally in the Sum of 3s. 4d.

7. The Inhabitants of the said Borough for not repairing a certain Lane within the said Borough called the Back Lane And if not well and Sufficient repaired on or before the 20th Day of September next We amerce them in the Sum of £50.

8. Henry Bryning the Elder for placeing and leaving 2 Middings and one Cart in the same Lane And if not removed within 2 hours on Notice hereof We amerce him in the sum of 6s. 8d.

9. Edward Abbott for placeing and leaving 2 Carts in the same street And if not removed within 2 Hours We amerce him in the Sum of 10s.

10. Alexander Halliwell and Henry Blackburne for placeing and leaving several Middings, Heaps of Ashes, Dung, Manure or Compost opposite their respective Dwellings or Presmises in the Fryergate within the said Borough And if not removed within one Day we amerce them in the Sum of 6s. 8d.

11. George Taylor for placeing and Leaving a Midding Stead at the End of the Back Lane; And if not removed within 2 Days We amerce him in the Sum of 13s. 4d.

12. Thomas Livesey for placeing and leaving 2 Midding Steads in the House of Correction Wient in the said Boro And if not removed within one Day We amerce him in the Sum of 13s. 4d.

13. Matthew Cuerdale for 2 Middings in the same Wient And if not removed within one Day We amerce him in the sum of 13s 4d.

14. William Roscow, William Ironfield?, Thomas Clarke and James Langtree for placeing and leaving Middings before their Doors And if not removed within one Day We amerce them all in the sum of 6s. 8d. each.

15. John Baxter the Scavenger for not Doing his Duty in taking away Heaps of Dirt in the Fryergate And if not removed in 2 Days We amerce him in the Sum of ___

16. John Rogerson for not placeing or affixing a Sufficient Light at Night on his Waggon or Cart suffered to remain opposite his House. If he neglects to place or Affix a Sufficient Light when as aforesaid We amerce him in the Sum of 40s. for every Offence.

The Mayor, Bailiffs and Burgesses of the said Borough for not keeping the Market Place Pump, the Pump in the Fryergate opposite Miss Beeches, the Pump opposite John Salters and the Pump near unto the House of Correction Wient and if not repaired within a Month We amerce them in the Sum of 30a. for each Pump.

19. William Townsend for not having sufficient Lids or Doors going into his Cellar And if the same is not Done in 14 Days We amerce him in the Sum of 40s.

Paul Hodgkinson, Hugh Smith, Stephen Tempest?, John Chew, Bradshaw Hodgkinson, Mary Wyke and John Carr for suffering ffilthy Tubs or Barrels to remain for a considerable Time in the Shamble opposite their respective Shops at other time than while there are opening the carcasses of their Cattle. We amerce them in the Sum of 6s. 8d. each.

21. Henry Astley and John Greenwood for placeing and Leaving large Heaps of Muck in a certain Street within the said Borough called St John's Wient And if not removed within 14 days We amerce them severally in the Sum of ???

22. Henry Biggs of or placeing and leaving large Heaps of Muck over against his Stables in his Occupation opposite the Hose of John Devis in the Church Street And if not removed within 14 Days We amerce him in the Sum of 13s. 4d.

24. Nicholas Starkie Esq., for not Scouring and cleansing a Ditch or Watercourse in the Cocker Hole and not causing the same with Sufficient Flags And if the same is not well and sufficiently repaired on or before _____ We amerce him in the Sum of £10.

25. William Houghton for not removing a certain Quantity of Dung from opposite the Stable in his possession near Taylor's Garden And if not removed within _____ Days after Notice hereof We amerce him in the Sum of 13s. 4d.

26. Henry Ward for not removing a Quantity of Dung opposite the Cocker Hole And if not removed within ______ We amerce him in the Sum of 6s. 8d.

27. James Dale for not removing a Quantity of Dung from opposite a Shop in his Possession near the Work House And if not removed We amerce himin the sum of 6s. 8d.

28. John Bates and William Harrison for not removing a Quantity of Ashes from out of the Road leading to Avenham And if not removed We amerce them severally in the Sum of 6s. 8d. each.

29. The Mayor, Bailiffs and Burgesses of the said Borough for not repairing and keeping clean a certain place near the Syke And if not repaired We amerce them in the Sum of 13s. 4d.

30. William Brandreth for suffering large Quantity of Wash? and Muck to remain near the Malt Kiln in the possession of John Greaves And if not removed on or before the 25th Day of March next We amerce him in the Sum of £10.

31. The Mayor, Bailiffs and Burgesses of the said Borough for not repairing the Road opposite the Folly And if not repaired in 20 Days We amerce them in the Sum of 20s.

32. Mary ???, James ??? and Pricilla Greenhalgh for suffering a Midden to remain in the Minsprit Weint And if not removed within 14 Days We amerce them in the Sum of 10s each.

33. John ???, John Marsh, Lawrence Shakeshaft, Thomas Cross, Joseph Bramwell and William Goulding for want of a Sufficient Wall opposite the Midden Stead in the Same Wient And if not repaired within 20 Days We amerce them in the Sum of 20s each.

35. William Brandreth for not removing a Quantity of Ashes out of the Midden Stead in the Cock Yard And if not removed We amerce him in the Sum of 20s.

36. John Watson jun for suffering chimneys to remain opposite Mr Brandreths in places called Assize? houses being conspicous neusances and if not removed within 2 months We amerce him in the Sum of 40s.

37. Robert Moss Esq., Elizabeth Smalley, John Addison Gentleman and William Farrer for not removing a Quantity of Ashes in the Alms House Lane And if not removed We amerce them in the sum of 5s.

38. Thomas Winckley Esq., for not Scouring or cleansing Part of a Ditch adjoining his Field at the bottom of the Brewery Lane And if not done within one Month We Amerce him in the Sum of ___

39. John Smith and Henry Parr for permitting their Soap Lees to runn into a certain Street called the Back Wient And if they suffer the same of the Notice We amerce them severally in the Sum of £10.

41. John Caton and John Thompson for not having a sufficient Rale to their Cellars in the Fishergate under Miss Cardwells And if not done We amerce them in the Sum of 20s.

42. James Cheetham for placing and leaving one Midden of Muck near the House of Henry Eastham And if not removed We amerce him in the Sum of 13s. 4d.

43. Ellen Willcock for not placing a Lid or Cover over the Cellar Window And if not repaired within 11 Days after notice We amerce her in the Sum of 10s.

Robert Dugdale, Eliz: Woods Widdow, Richard Topping, Thomas Lofthouse, John Wilkinson, Joseph Jackson, James Brown, Joseph Scott, Thomas Ascroft and Charles Ashcroft for Placing and leaving several Midden Heaps of Ashes, Dung, Muck, Manure or Compost opposite their respective premises within this Borough And if not removed We amerce them in the Sum of 6s. 8d. each.

45. John Watson the Elder for placing or leaving large Quantities of Dung or Compost near the ??? Road opposite a Building where the Old Starch House formerly Stood And if not removed within 48 house after Notice We amerce him in the Sum of £5 5s 0d?

46. Michaela Livesey Widdow for placing or leaving a large Quantity of Dung near her Dwelling House and if not removed within one Month We amerce her in the Sum of £5 0s 0d.

47. Mr Henry ??? for his Steps adjoining his Dwelling House as an Incroachment And if not removed to the old Situation within 3 months We amerce him in the sum of £10. 10s. 0d.

48. Thomas Cowburn Esq., Mayor, Thomas Glover Gardner and Henry Bickerstaff Gentleman for not repairing the Road opposite their respective closes of Ground near St Georges Chapel and if not repaired on or before the 1st Day of May next We amerce them in the Sum of 40s. each.

49. Barbara Hodgkinson Widow for placing and leaving Divers large Quantities of Brick and other Rubbish adjoining the Wall of John Nabb Gentleman And if not removed within 14 Days We amerce them in the Sum of 20s. each.

50. The Corporation Middle Stoopes in the Several Streets are presented and if not removed in 14 Days We amerce them in the Sum of 3s. 4d for each Stoop.

51. All the Inhabitants within the said Borough for not repairing the Fisher Gate Lane, Marsh Lane, Ribbleton Lane and the Lane leading to Fishwick ending at a certain Place called Swill Brook, And Unless the same are severally well and Sufficiently repaired on or before the 29th Day of September next We amerce the said Inhabitants in the Sum of £100.

52. James Gornall for not having sufficient Lids or Doors going into his Cellar And if the same is not Done in 14 Days We amerce him in the Sum of 40s.

53. William Tomlinson for not having sufficient Cover or Board adjoining the Skinhouse in the Minspit Wient and if not repaired within 6 days after notice We Amerce him in the Sum of £10. 10s.
